Home Learning Project

Over the Autumn 2 term, we would like you to create an interactive display about one of the four seasons. We will use your season displays to reinforce our understanding of the four seasons and the order that they cycle through. These displays could be in the form of posters, 3D models, paintings, Lego diagrams or Power Points!


Memory Box

Can you remember being small? Being a baby and learning to crawl? This topic will look back on special occasions in the children’s lives and help them to get an understanding of the past. 



Children will learn to:-

  • Orally rehearse what they are about to write.
  • Write sentences.
  • Sequence events in their lives.
  • Sequence simple stories.
  • Write a recount of an event.
  • Write descriptions of objects now and in the past in order to compare and contrast them.



Children will learn to:-

  • Counting and recognising numbers 1-20.
  • Knowing 1 more than and 1 less than of a number.
  • The terms greater than and smaller than.
  • Number patterns and sequences.
  • Number bonds.
  • Addition and subtraction with numbers 1-20.
  • Measure.



Children will learn to:-

  • Knowing different parts of the human body.
  • Knowing the senses and their purposes.
  • Understand how to keep ourselves healthy.
  • The different seasons of the year.



All children should have full PE kits in school at all times.
