Our current topic is Why Do Zebra's Have Stripes?
Topic Overview: We have been looking at animals that live in Africa. What kinds of things do they eat? Where do they live? What do they look like?
Maths:We are developing curiosity about numbers by learning to recite numbers to 10, know that numbers identify how many objects are in a set and beginning to recognise some numbers to 5 and then 10.
Reading: We are developing a love of books by independently looking at favourite books and joining in with the repeated refrains.
Writing: We are developing our gross motor and fine motor skills by exploring lots of different mark making opportuities. We are learning to ascribe meaning to our marks and working hard to be able to write our own names.
Good Morning Nursery. We hope that you are keeping warm and have had lots of opportunities to get out and enjoy the snow. It has been so lovely to see the pictures and videos uploaded on Tapestry of all your snowy adventures! Please continue to enjoy the snow and upload more pictures. Why not go on a snowman hunt? How many can you spot?
If you don't fancy braving the weather today then why not try some of these activities in the warm
We would love you to share all your Snow day activities so please continue to upload onto Tapestry for us all to see!
We hope that you have a lovely day and look forward to seeing you next week.
The Nursery Team
Welcome to the Willow Nursery class. My name is Mrs Caton and I am the class teacher. We are helped by Mrs Ashford (Nursery Nurse), Miss Booker (Learning Support Assistant) and Miss Russell (Learning Support Assistant).
We learn through play and love to have fun both inside and outside! We enjoy singing songs, listening to stories and dancing! Follow us on our learning journey and see what fun we have.
We change our Library books on Mondays so please make sure you return your child's book each week so they can choose a new one 😀
Welcome to the Spring Term 2018. In Nursery we have been very busy welcoming our new friends. It has been so fantastic to see the older Nursery children helping and supporting the new children with their new routines. We are all looking forward to a wonderful term of learning together!
